Randy grew up in Lake Charles, Louisiana and attended Lake Charles High School and McNeese State University. After graduating from McNeese in 1974 with a B.S. degree in Mathematics, he accepted a position with Gulf States Utilities (GSU) in Beaumont, Texas as the first Computer Science graduate in their Information and Data Systems Department.
After the acquisition of GSU by Entergy, Randy move to New Orleans with Entergy in 1995. In 1997, Randy accepted a position with EdgenMurray in Baton Rouge, eventually becoming their Chief Information Officer. In 2007, Randy retired from EdgenMurray and moved back to Lake Charles.
Randy joined Terrell & Associates and began his career in financial services in 2009. He holds the Life and Health, Series 66, and Series 7 licenses. In 2017, Randy obtained the Retirement Income Certified Professional designation (RICP). Randy is licensed in both Louisiana and Texas and can provide a full range of services to his clients. Randy is most passionate about helping clients make the best decision with respect to claiming their Social Security benefit as well as helping them navigate the complex world of Medicare.
Randy and his wife, Ellen, have 2 children - both of whom are married and living in the Houston area. Randy and Ellen are blessed to have 5 grandchildren ranging in age from 12 to 26, and a 4-year old great-granddaughter. Randy is a member of Trinity Baptist Church. When not traveling with his wife or visiting with the grandchildren, Randy likes to read, hunt, fish, and play golf in his spare time.
